Mental Illness and The Royal Family

Mental Health is the issue that means the most to me. Seeing these 3 well known people talk about it is so helpful to society. An open dialogue is vitally important for mental health.
Suffering from depression and PTSD, I feel like there is a stigma that I have to fake my emotions around everyone to save them from my sadness, but that has proved in my life to be more detrimental than helpful. Being diagnosed with PNES, a seizure disorder caused from severe trauma, has opened my eyes to talking about what's happening in my head. Thanks to my husband and family, I'm able to get treatment and hopefully slow down the seizures associated with the trauma by talking about it. If you see someone suffering, let them know you are there to listen. It's so important to have friends and family who are willing to hear you.
